Melt-blown fabric is the core material of the mask to filter germs. The medical mask has three layers, melt-blown fabric is the middle layer. It has strong filtering, shielding and insulation properties, and can sterilize and isolate viruses. Therefore, it is very important to control the quality of the mask. So, how to do the melt-blown test? What are those items?
The testing items of melt-blown fabric include: particle filtration efficiency (PFE), bacterial filtration efficiency (BFE), longitudinal breaking strength, transverse breaking strength, longitudinal breaking elongation, transverse breaking elongation, air resistance, air permeability, unit area deviation, appearance, width, microbial index, etc.
Filtration efficiency is the key index of mask quality evaluation. This is also one of the important quality standards for molten spray cloth, so referring to relevant standards, and the oily particle filtration efficiency of particle filtration efficiency should not be less than 90%.
Air resistance, the amount of influence that prevents people from breathing when wearing a mask. Therefore, the air resistance of molten spray determines the comfort of wearing a mask. The recommended indexes are air resistance ≤350Pa and exhalation resistance ≤250Pa.
3.Bacteria filtration efficiency
To test the percentage of materials containing bacteria suspended particles at the specified flow rate. The bacterial filtration efficiency of mask molten spray cloth should not be less than 95%.
